Hi Hilmar,
The defect tracking (at least as far as I can tell from their web site) allows you to record bugs--assign a tracking #, repair time, etc.
I'm hoping to hear from someone using the Rational ClearCase product. I don't know the cost, but they certainly seem to have earned the 'gold standard' reputation.
I gather it didn't take long to install and try Perforce?
