To answer your technical question, the media (the CD) in the upgrade version and the full version of VFP 8.0 include the exact same install, no checks for previous versions occur when installing, etc. The version of VFP 8.0 that is included in the upgrade, full version, MSDN Subscriptions, and acedemic version, are all the exact same build and install of VFP 8.0.
