Maybe the reason are not the new PC with XP. You changed role of machine with WinMe also. I had similar (not the same) problems with program placed on Netware - client machine with Win98 works good while machine with WinMe produced such messages. Problems dissapeared after downgrading to Win98.
I did not find other soultion :(
