I am using VFP as a frontend and SQL2000 (MSDE) as a backend. I have several fields that I have designated as varchar with a length of 7000. When the data gets to Crystal in the ado, the varchar7000 fields are changed to strings with a length of 255.

I have read Crystal Knowledgebase Article ID:c2011622 reference Varchar fields being truncated, however, I am not sure how to implement the suggested solution.

Will someone please provide me with some easy to follow steps on how to return an 'adLongVarchar' field type so that my varchar fields are no long truncated in Crystal Reports.

I am using Crystal 8.5 Developer with SP1.
