Hilmar,
Perhaps he will accept a telecomutter. I have also had Les Pinter tell me that he only 'employees' people in third world countries so he can pay alot less than for someone in the US. I don't know how that affects his billing rate though.
This is no different than the reason Nike shoes are made in Korea or Kath Lee Giffords sweaters are made in Mexico. A days wages in the US will buy you a week of labor in these places.
