Yes, you can write an app that runs continually - big, cumbersome, slow and unnecessary. I suggest you simplify your strategy. How about adding a line to your login script to save the username, date and time to a text file on the server using a DOS pipe command? (You DO use login scripts on your network, right)?
You can then have your VFP app run just once a day (or as needed) to suck up that text data and save to tables.
