Thank you for your reply. Yes, I think your are right in so far as gathering the user name and logon/logoff time. But there needs to be something small a light that either continously monitors logons in the Domain, or which fires on the workstation during a logon or logoff event. The latter is probably better and WSH might be the answer; but then the script would also need to be wrapped in a launcher script to check a server for updates.

And No, we haven't been using logon scripts since leaving Novell 3.x .. a long, long time ago. So what would be the major advantage for a developer's shop?
