Im using Wise Installer 3.52 and it all is fine here. (Except I get a table merge error while compiling the install - but it all still works)

Did you include the Licence.msm and specify your Crystal 9 rego key in the installer?

Also what other merge modules are you including, I have had problems like this on Win2000, After installing our app, whenever the user loaded windows Explorer or our app, they would get our app trying to reinstall itself, and then when they run office they get office trying to reinstall itself. (We had another one that completely killed windows - but our app kept working :))

I finally nailed it down to a problem with one of the other merge modules I was installing (ChartFX I think it was). Usually my first step on a problem with MSI files is to remove all the merge modules one at a time until the problem goes away. Because Crystal 9 relies (I think) on MSVCR and MFC and maybe some others, it could be those that are causing the problem - Try updating all of them.
