I tried to place the .manifest file in the same directory as the application and name it MYAPP.EXE.MANIFEST, but nothing changed. Same problem if the .manifest file is placed in VFP home directory and renamed VFP8.EXE.MANIFEST.

Does the file simply be called MYAPP.EXE.MANIFEST? Does it work for you?
