Yes, Gates does like to hold on to his "baby", although you could say that was down to it's popularity, but how did it become popular? MS made sure it was.......
It doesn't comfort me to be relying on an application that ends in "Basic", I wouldn't consider it "Basic", it's getting a bit too complicated for that, maybe a name-change is required.
