Well, for such a rate, anything would be good as far as connection. At home here, cable, at extra high speed, I get 1.5 mbits download and 80k upload. Regular cable high speed is 15k upload.

ADSL provides also high speed download and subject to low speed upload as well. The variations of cost depend on the extra power you need for the bandwith speed.

Here in Montreal, for home users, not that much as using ADSL as cable and high speed Bell are available. ADSL is mostly used for companies that can't afford a full T1 pipe and up. Such installations goes up to a several hundreds of dollars per month and up to an average of 2000 per month for a full T1 pipe.

So, in overall, I would say, despite the fact that the local currency is different in Brazil, that you are having a good rate for such bandwith.
