Problem with using Winfax and e-mail client.

I made an application witch send documents to either Winfax or the mail client. The problem is that whenever de mail client is busy with sending e-mail connected via a modem WinFax generates an error 0x080010105. Proberly because it can't use the modem. I have looked for several ways to intercept this but i nothing what so ever.

I use the silent mode for both Winfax and E-mail client (no windows).

Is there a possibility to detect if the modem is busy?
