The other day, for awhile, when a memo was updated and saved, the memo then disappeared after going to another record and coming back. This action then stopped as quickly as it started. Notably, the M is still capital indicating that something is in it even though it doesn't have anything when opened.
Turns out in addition to this issue, at least one, probably more memo fields have been copied from one record to another, over-writing the original memo.
What could have caused this and can anything be done about it? Can I recover the memos that have been "deleted", or over-written?
Also, when I use COPY TO to copy the table to another table, I have noticed that the memo file of 300 MB turns into a file of about 30 MB in the new table. Why is that?
I still have the large one, hoping that the deleted memos are somewhere in there. Although I've done a couple of searches on known phrases and haven't found any.
