Tracy;

Excuse the complex drift.

A word or phrase may bring up a book of memories. In this case “castles” and I thought of where they were – the desert or “sand”.

About forty years ago I last played a flamenco piece, which belongs to the Tanguillo family and is named “Castillo en la Arena”. It is in 2/4 time with a 6/8 lilt. A few days ago I decided to play it for some reason and my wife Katy (Enriqueta) began to sing it. Katy said, “I did not know you knew that song”! I likewise did not know she knew the words. Where did you learn it, I asked, and she replied, “From my mother and Aunt who sang it often”.

We have been married for 37 years and just made this discovery. It makes me laugh. By the way Katy was trained in flamenco dance and singing from childhood. I did not start playing guitar until I was 10.

I guess Saddam has about 100 castles in the sand. What does the bible say about building your house on sand? I think he has a problem.

Tom
