I agree with you. I have the same experience - some people from the US hired me to develop program for personal financing. They said, that I have to use MS Access and VB 6.0 I did it about month and after that said, it is so difficult and annoying for me and could I use FoxPro? They have never heard about FoxPro before, but I said that it is an official MS product. They gave to me permission and I finished that program during next week.

In Russia we have a problem - monopoly of the one firm's software for accountants - so we do not need any more programmers. It is impossible to compete with this local software giant. I was talking with Ken Levy from MS to destroy this monopoly, using FoxPro development tool like base, but he said that it is not his department problem :(. So, my future as FoxPro programmer is hazy, but is life reality I am continue fighting...
