They do not default to that in WebAppBuilder. The fields are disabled so you can't enter anything. I changed WebAppBuilder to stuff the variables 'LOCALHOST" and "DEFAULT WEB SITE' from the init of those fields. After recompiling Webappbuilder, WebAppbuilder now creates the correct virtual directories on XP.

I noticed that in the postsetup.dll those two values are displayed as the default values when you run the program from the start menu. As a result the virtual directories are correctly created for the demo.

Evidently XP needs those two values in WebAppBuilder.

>Yes, are you saying they didn't default to those values in WebAppBuilder? That would explain a lot of things...
>>Claude - thanks - I assume you got my response that putting 'localhost' and 'default web site' in WebAppBuilder allowed XP to create the virtual directories.

>>>Gaylen,
>>>That sounds good. That's basically what I have here on the demo site: Dell 1ghz, 40GB hard drive, 500MB Memory, and Windows 2000 Server SP3. Yours will probably be faster for less money! I would make sure you have a good backup technique in place, even though this system has never failed for me...

They have outsourced their networking support and that person is not that aware of web servers. I'm looking at Windows 2000 server on a Dell server box. Other than a lot of ram what other thing should I consider.
