Menus & Menu designer
Hi Evelyn,
Remember me?
>i was able to add a menu to my top level form, thanks to you. but why is it that my form is not active (menu showing gray fonts when form is first loaded). i have to click on the form or the menu itself.
>
I have also witnessed the same behavior. When you build it into an .EXE however, the form concerned does become active. That's why when test running the top-level form I just ignore that annoying behavior altogether.
>and, adding a menu tells me that i should set the form as top level, not in top level. but the FAQ you told me says i should set the form in top level.
>
The form SHOULD be AS TOP LEVEL FORM, setting ShowWindow otherwise will generate an error message saying something like 'form ShowWindow must be 2'
>can't i have menu and a toolbar in my form?
What you can do if you want a toolbar in your top level form is use the form's AddObject method and instantiate the toolbar class you have created.
P.S. You have come a long way! Hope to help.... c",)
