So if I were you then I would spend my time trying to break that connection. Rather than bad mouth a country's economic policies that you have no control over whatsoever. Get Canada to make economic changes that would help alliviate the reliance on the US economy. Get the country to stand on its own two feet as it were. Or better yet, get Canada to be part of the US then you would have a voice.
