Can you put codepage=1252 in the config.fpw? Or codepage=auto if you don't need to change it? Does that not do what you need? Does the dbf have a different codepage and you need to change it to 1252 automatically using cpzero.prg with no user intervention? I'm not clear on your requirements exactly.
