I'm doing my best to stay out of this, but I couldn't resist this one.

The President, the Secretary of State and the Generals can say that "shock and awe" - their declared strategy - is intended ONLY at the military.
Now tell me, HOW do they intend to hide all this from the civilian population? Surely it's not that civilians are immune from "shock and awe". Are military supposed to be shocked and awed into capitulation while civilians treat it as a fireworks display?
