I don't know what ISX is. I launched VFP 8 and could find nothing about ISX anything in the Help About. What is VFP LE?

oops, I get it. Installshield Express. I'm using version 3.5 w/ SP4. We upgraded to the official version (from VFP7) instead of the VFP LE version because I could not find a way for the directory entries to be dynamically populated. It seemed that you had to specifically name the files you wanted to include in the installation instead of filling a directory tree image and specifying that all files in the image get included into the install. That was WAY too tedious for me, so we sprng for the extra cash for the upgrade.

It's still a tedious process to define all the settings, runtimes, COM entries, etc. but I was npt about to keep track of each additional file in each directory; included or excluded... <bg>

Are you saying that it is not possible to include VFP7 and VFP8 runtimes in the same Installshield setup installation? I will be delivering updates to our software components compiled in various versions of VFP and I would like to minimize the installations our clients have to run. I figured I could just have a VFP7/8 installation of the runtimes during the next year's transistion from VFP7 to VFP8. Then I could just say, run this and everything will find it's appropriate runtime as needed...
