As a new and first-time subscriber to MSDN I am totally unaware of how things should/can be done using the DVDs.

Specifically, I'd like to learn how to install Windows XP PRO 'over' (as an upgrade to) Windows XP Home.

Can this be done from MSDN content (DVD) and if so, what are the basic steps to do so?

I have succeeded with Office XP (I don't know why, now that I've got it) but strongly suspect that an OS is a different kettle of fish.
