So, in order to isolate the problem, as it's either that or the other installation I did, I am removing the hotfix. I'll keep you inform. In the meantime, if anyone discovers any suspicious activity in regards to that install, I'd like to know more about it.

The removal of the hotfix didn't change anything. So, the only other change that could have started to affect that is the installation of SQL Server. I am installing the Service Pack 2. I'll see if this was the cause.
