Hmmm... I'm not so sure about that. We got VFP 7 as an upgrade to VFP 6, and that as an upgrade to VFP 5, etc. If I'm reading the EULA right, installing VFP 8 as an _upgrade_ wipes out the entire chain, doesn't it? Of course, I could be reading it wrong. Those things are more for lawyers than consumers.
Thanks,
Michelle

>If you buy the full product then the EULA section on "Upgrades" does NOT apply so there is nothing then forcing you (to stay legal) to use VFP8 'in a reasonable time' or to UNinstall VFP7 once VFP8 is installed.

>Even if all of your previous versions were UPGRADES, they can be kept on your system(s) - except VFP7 and ASSUMING it is the basis of your upgrade - if you buy the upgrade to VFP8.

>As you probably saw, I think this STINKS and is only aimed at BOTH lining MS' pockets even more AND making criminals out of many prior VFP license owners.

>I hope this clarifies... and there has been nothing from MS suggesting that there has been or will be a change to VFP8's EULA.
