A grid goes blank when its data source is no longer available. If I understand, you have a persistent relaion set in the DE between the 2 tables that populate your grid's columns, and the dropdown box to which you refer is not actually in the grid, correct? When you "use" the table based on the dropdown choice, are you USEing it in the same work area as the current grid recordsource, expecting the grid to automatically refresh itself with the data from that table? If you change the RecordSource, you would also have to redefine the data properties (ControlSource) of each column. Let me know if this doesn't help, and we can dig deeper.
