Sorry about that, I didnt recall any feedback. I have written 2 commercial products that actually utilize this class. However, I don't market these products personally. Everyone that has learned to use this class has given positive feedback (users, not developers)
I have one app that uses it to export refined subsets of data, that utilize the report wizard, so that my power users can create their own reports 'on the fly' within the app.
The only reason I mentioned selling it; if I start giving this away, I will be creating a lot of work for myself, providing debugging and support. However, the plus side to this is that everyone will benefit from a better class, myself included.
I would be willing to release this in a public domain format if someone like yourself would be willing to help out with inital testing.
How generic is it?
The class will work on any table in a forms DE
searches the default cworkarea or any other workarea if parameter is passed.
You can search on any field, memo, c, n, $ etc..
It will pull in long table names from database
it can be subclassed for further customization
How easily does it fit into a Codemine application?
it replaces the native find, accessable from toolbar or thisform.find()
it utilizes codemines controls inside the grid
How easy is it to configure?
1 Replace codmine's Find method code in 'formdataformcustom'
2 change your default 'cfinddialogclass' property
What kind of money were you considering charging?
no more than $50 if anything at all.
