Hi Michael,

Bruce Momjian has written an excellent book called Postgresql - Introduction and Concepts (ISBN 0-201-70331-9) that I found very helpful when I was starting with PG and I can thoroughly recommend it. There's also an online version Here.

Regards,

Liam
