Odd textbox behaviour

I do not get the behaviour change. I put the DoDefault() into the Valid of a baseclass, then later tried it directly on the textbox, I still get the same results. It looks like I am going to be writing extra code in the GotFocus to keep the behaviour the same for all textboxes.
