Just remembered one odd thing (not sure that it's a bug) - I've had a few grids recently where I was adding programmatically classed columns, and dynamicbackcolor didn't work when set in column's init; any such setting was ignored. I had to do it from the grid's init after the column was instantiated.

Don't know if this is of any help in your case, but who knows.
