I just refurbished a FoxPro 2.6 DOS application.

The main recompilation to VFP 7 went pretty smoothly. There are some gotchas though.

Here's a short list of the ones I remember:

1) If the old system used scatter to memvar with a field list and the field list did not match the current list of fields in the table there was no problem running under the 2.6 DOS compiler. There is a problem when compiled under VFP7.

2) @ say gets in 2.X seems to automatically left trim the captured memvar/field value. Not so in VFP7.

3 Set device to print does not work well under Windows. I printed all my reports to a text file and then wrapped them in an HTML wrapper with PRE tags to print them via IE browser. Major kludge! but it worked!!!
