I read the other threads but I'm not following...In general the stars mean that a numeric value is too big to be displayed. Where are they showing up - in the status bar, or in the grid columns? It could also be that you got a bit of corruption, and need to re-index those tables. Regarding the other posts, SET SKIP does work with one-to-many relationships, and the child index does not have to be unique - in fact, if it is, you have a one-to-one relationship and could just put all the fields in the parent table.
