Robin,
Turn off one-to-many. Stars stand for 'ditto'. You don't need it there do you ? Show parent fields on form (separate from grid) or use 2 grids one for parent and one for child.
Further I don't think you'd ever want to do editing in such a grid. Why not simply use an SQL rowsource (or view) instead.
You might even want to use an HierarchicalFlexGrid activex instead (search on it for samples).
