Well, even France said the gloves would come off at the first sign of WMD being used.
Now it's almost over with no sign of WMD, any "findings" will need assessment. If the find is such that it could not have been used before discovery by the UN inspectors, I'm afraid that I doubt the world will change its opinion.
For the sake of the future, I hope that somebody credible finds nasty weapons real soon.
