>>>Paul, again thank you. Where can I find out how to drive the Acrobat reader? I ask this because my next question is - Is it possible to print an Acrobat document using just the reader without the document interface ever becoming visible?

>>If you've got VFP 7 or 8, use the object browser to view the various PEM's (the MegaFox book also has info on it). No, it's not possible to just use the reader to print w/o the document becoming visible. I tried (lots of different ways). About the best I could do was make a relatively small window appear, print the PDF, then disappear. It looks like the display is part of Acrobats rendering process.

>Yes, it's possible. The small window you see, is a splash screen. You can go into Acrobat Reader preferences and uncheck it.

Strange. I know I wasted a ton of time playing with that and couldn't make it work. I just tried it again and it worked just fine. It had to be hosted on a VFP form, but if it's done in a class the form doesn't have to be visible. We're actually using the full version of Acrobat here - I wonder if I was using that instead? We dumped Reader pretty early on because of the stability issues. Anyway, it looks like you're right.
