Hi John,

Didn't Chirac also state later on that any WMD found in Iraq he would not take as viable proof since the U.S. could've planted them? I have a hard time understanding what Chirac really meant in that case since he will never have to stand by that statement since even if they are found, he will assume the U.S. put them there (according to the statement I heard on the news).

Honestly, I hope WMD are NEVER found. Given the choices, i would rather the U.S. own up to no WMD in Iraq then anyone finding them and knowing positively that Iraq lied all along to the UN and the WMD were there regardless of their claims. If they are there, then they could be used and given Saddam's history they would have been used eventually again on someone or even sold to terrorists. I would rather know there was no threat then there really was one and we narrowly escaped it even it does mean egg on the face of the Bush administration. However, I personally believe Iraq has them or had them and relocated them to locations which will be difficult to find or even to Syria as some reports suggest. I hope I am wrong.
