Have you ever found any kind of pattern to these occurrences, Calvin?

To my mind the REAL problem is that the record count get out of whack (I have real trouble calling that "corrupted") in the first place.

It sure would be neat to start a (long-running?) thread here trying to consolidate as much information as possible about this problem.
