I am quite concerned about the possibility of a third world war. I was speculating about a somewhat different scenario: other arab nations go to help Iraq, United States attacks
them, and from there, the war continues to spread.
It doesn't seem likely, right now, that other nations will give significant aid to Iraq, but if the United States attacks Syria - verbal attacks have already begun - or perhaps Iran - the resentment among other nations might grow, and it can still spread into a world war - a war in which there will likely be no winners.
