I was placing the same question, but now me attack to yours.

My best solution till now is ( I don't want loses the bar ON command)

* redefine command
DEFINE BAR m.nBar ON (m.nPopup) PROMPT m.newCaption

* need change bar count for resized popup

DEFINE BAR NSPECIAL ON (m.nPopup) PROMPT "\<"
RELEASE BAR NSPECIAL ON (m.nPopup)

Exists one better solution?

It is a VFP bug ?
