Obviously you have good customers -- your lucky!
Warrenty work does not only apply to existing work no
matter how good but also to work the customer 'thinks'
is not right. I have spent many hours following up
on customers complaints only to find it works right
(usually bad data) or it was something the customer
'meant' to tell me during design. So there are other
factors that fit in.
The end result is you spend valuable time on something
that may (usually) ends up coming out of your pocket.
Again, the biggest problem is having to review an old
project & brush up on what it was all about. That is
the biggest time eater.
