My wife answered the phone Saturday evening at 9:30 PM.

Caller: “We would like to loan you money. How much money do you make a month? What is your social Security number”?

My wife: “That is personal information. Where are you calling from”?

Caller: “I am calling from India.”

My wife: “What is your name and phone number and whom do you represent”?

Caller: “I am Richard Brown (very heavy Indian accent). I work for ***** bank and my phone number is 800-***-****”.

My wife: “Thank you. I am not interested. Do not call again”!

My wife called the 800 number and yes it is a bank in the United States that uses telemarketing from India.

Somehow I think the “new laws” about telemarketing will be of no real value.
