Somehow I think the “new laws” about telemarketing will be of no real value.

We've had that law here in Wisconsin since Jan 1. It's been an amazing difference. I used to get bugged over and over when I worked at home. Now all we get is the occasional (exempt) charity.

I certainly hope that this new development is addressed. From my understanding of the Wisconsin law, it doesn't matter where the calls are coming from. To call residents of Wisconsin, they need to abide by it. Of course, the usual IANAL applies. :)
