>I don't mean to take side here Mike but a justification could be that this is a public place. I you've got things you don't want others to know about why don't you send e-mail?

Um, that has nothign to do with what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is reading messages, and logging on to this server in general. All that information is aparently logged, and it is all made publically available.

You're right though. If Michel can't justify this failure reasonabbly, I will not log in here and find alternatives.

Look at expedia.com for a second. On the front page is a link to their privacy policy. When you do a search for a flight, there privacy policy is a promoted feature of the site. Thats the responsible thing to do. If expedia saved every search that I made on their site, and DISPLAYED it to the world no less they would have trouble on their hands.

I did some searching for Australian flights today. If anyone with a browser had access to that information, they could track me down and spam me about their Australian Bar and Grill I should visit.

Now lets say I post a message on the UT, about an Imagining product. And then, I used the "Who read this message" to track down anyone who showed the slightest interest in the message by reading it, and spam them to get leads for sales.

Displaying my name next to posts I publically make is one thing, but displaying to the world when I log in, when I log off, and what messages I read during that interval is unacceptable.
