It think part of the problem is for many guys like me we are VFP developers and are specialists in this field. We don´t want to deal with problems not directly related with VFP products. Personally I don´t want to handle problems when installing/maintaining MSDE. When we have to deal with SQL server, there ussually is someone else involved in installing and maintaining it. I´m a VFP developper and want to focus on this job rather than investing time in learning to troubleshoot problems in MSDE/SQL-server. I´m doing o.k. with SQL server, but am by no means an expert in configuring and troubleshooting this product.
