Great post. You've hit the nail on the head as far as the reasons I like SQL Server and there are others as well.

I'm pretty sure the reason are having a hard time jumping ship from the USS DBF is a comfort-level issue. Having worked with DBF's for YEARS and YEARS, they are very uncomfortable with the notion of moving on to something new that they don't fully understand. It is TOTALLY understandable because I was there once myself. That's why you don't see me lashing back at people when they critize my position or assume I have ulterior motives. My motives are VERY SIMPLE, I just want the VFP community to realize that there is a better data storage platform available for them to use.
