BB::I found something interesting ... when I double-clicked on an old .sln file, I got no prompting for converting stuff and VS came up anyway. But as soon as I closed VS, I got a prompt about saving the .csproj file (meaning that changes had occurred, attempted conversion?) ... but if instead of clicking on the .sln file, if I instead clicked on one of the .csproj files, I was immediately prompted for the conversion.

Yes, that is interesting. Anyway, you've about got me convinced to go ahead and install VS2K3.
