>We've just recently started migrating an application to VFP8 and noticed a problem with ActiveX controls in the development environment. If we go into a method that doesn't have any code, VFP automatically adds the LPARAMETERS and a comments line. Upon leaving the method without making any changes, VFP now stores these two lines and assumes that this method overrides any inherited base code. This seems to be a real problem since we don't want to override the base code when navigating between different methods in the control.

This is really bad. Thinking that an ActiveX method would never inherit from a parent method is really weird for whoever decided to add that behavior.

I have the same reaction as well. I guess there might be a setting somewhere to change that default.
