Title:
Security on VFP tables...
Greetings to all,
First of all I would like to give thanks to all the universalthread members who gives support to the users of vfp, without your advices we'll still be in the stone age...
We are now deploying a client/server setup and please correct me if my setup is wrong, we placed our database (tables, dbc's) in the server while the forms and reports stayed with the client computer. the server os is windows 2000 and win98 for the client. is there any other way of protecting the dbf's from being hacked with in the company, of course we'll be placing user and password from win2000 and another user and password transaction from vfp but is that enough to protect our data?
Thanks...
