>>There was a bug in VFP 6, which I am told was acknowledged by Microsoft, which sometimes caused error 1150, "Not enough memory for file map", to be triggered inappropriately upon attempt to append data to a cursor. It was sporadic and was not directly related to the size of the cursor. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in VFP 7 or 8? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Sergey. I don't like the last sentence in the original email, about the workarounds making the app run more slowly, but I guess that is to be expected. The workaround I have in mind if writing to large cursors is not reliable is to write to real DBFs instead. Obviously that would be slower. Oh well....
