David,

This is strictly a SWAG, but is it possible that that's it's way of trying to tell you that you have 2 functions/procedures in the file with the same name?

You probably know that such a situation is "legal" and that it is the LAST one in the file that wuill be executed if it is ever called.

good luck

>8) So, far, in the past, I have been able to fix it by deleting some of the lines for procedure name - for the offending procedure - and then retyping it again - my assumption being that some bad characters have gotten into the file.
>9)Up until about a minute ago - this approach has worked. As I type this, I have a procedure file up with this problem - where it is 'resisting' my efforts to fix it by tweaking the file by deleting lines. I hope I can fix it this time. I am very worried that I have a prg file that is in some way corrupt.
