Thanks Cathy,
I knew I could rely on you for help on this one.

>This is an annoying "feature" of the report writer. To work around it, you can do the following:
>
>- make the field wider than necessary so another full word can fit
>- Add a shape over the top of the end of the field that you don't want to show
>- Mark the shape as opaque and set the pen to None (so you don't see an outline)
>- Make sure the Front-to-Back order is correct .. meaning the shape is in front of the text object

>Not the cleanest solution .. but it works.

>>When trying to print a field using the report designer, the contents of the field exceed the available space allocated. VFP truncates the field at the last word break and displays only a portion of the entire field.
>>
>>Is there any way to cause VFP to print as much as will fit into the alloted space without cropping the last word(s)?
>>
>>for instance:
>>printdata = 'now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country'
>>when printed = 'Now is the time for all '
>>what I want is 'Now is the time for all goo'
>>
>>Any suggestions?
